Modern Masterpieces
Mission
To reimagine architecture that exemplifies the spirit of innovation, not only in what is new but also in what is good and enduring.
To create extraordinary spaces on the walls that surround you, giving you a window to the timeless beauty and hidden order of modern constructions.
To transport you to another place and another time, finding anew what is old to conserve the past and to reinvent the future.
Genesis
From 2012 to 2022, Princeton Architectural Press had published Steven Park's illustrations of Modern residential masterpieces as a groundbreaking resource for architects and architecture students.
Now, Project Modern is bringing you mesmerizing perspectives from the book as prints to be framed for a coveted place on your wall. We hope that these drawings will enliven your spaces, showcase your passion for architecture, stimulate your mind, and bring pleasure to your senses.
Quality
Streamlined graphics that appear minimalistic was born out of a constant struggle of over two years. Thousands of hours went into generating 2D drawings, 3D models, and sectional perspectives. A persistent concern over how to create the most original, informative, and captivating views drove resolution of even the smallest details. We hope that you can see and appreciate ‘no compromise’ craftsmanship and utmost care for the highest quality.
Technical Specifications
What's included: an original illustration printed with pigment ink on archival paper, a mat backerboard, and a project information sheet in a cellophane bag. The acid-free, archival paper has ISO brightness of 85% and looks slightly off-white under natural light. Under artificial lighting with higher color temperatures, the paper will appear to be brighter than 92%.
Ship
Generally, contents shipped in a 12.5"x12.5" mailer with two cardboard pads for added stiffness and protection. The packaging design may vary depending on the order quantity.
Frame
A frame is not included in the order. The following examples are IKEA's RIBBA at 12"x16" and LOMVIKEN at 12.5"x12.5". Frame finishes shown are painted black, painted white, and anodized aluminum silver.
When buying an off-the-shelf frame, please check the mat opening size as standard paper format, dimensional units, and actual opening sizes may vary among different countries, regions, and manufacturers. For instance, RIBBA's mat opening size is called out as 7"x9" on IKEA's website in the US. However, it is 7.5"x9.5" measured on an actual product.
Custom framing is also a great option especially if you are looking for a specific frame design, finish, and size.
