I am an architect, author, and illustrator living in Chicago and have been practicing architecture for over 20 years specializing in multifamily and mixed-use developments, technical coordination, project delivery, and enclosure design at the intersection of art, design, and commerce.

R&D is a necessary part of all successful enterprises. For me, a thorough precedents study spanning over disciplinary boundaries has always been a foundation for a creative endeavor that produces a truly innovative design, and such was the motivation behind documenting great Modern architecture, albeit a very small portion and selective aspects of it, which I share with you here at Project Modern.

Jim Collins, David Maister, and Daniel Coyle have more recently been sources of inspiration on how best to maximize the human potential - both individuals and groups - when designing an organization and work processes with due considerations not only for speed, profit, and impact but also for purpose, happiness, and well-being of everyone involved.

Outside work, my interests include long-distance running, reading, sketching both analog and digital, and trying to play some Bach's music on a piano.
